Biography

Margaret Greenhill is a naturalist jeweller and collector of micro-landscapes. Born in the Araucanía region, South of Chile, where she embraced the shapes of nature as a prism to interpret life. She studied Industrial Design at the University of Bio Bio in Concepción, Chile, and has been recognized at a national level in the area of innovation. In 2014 she began studying jewellery professionally at the Contemporary Jewelry School WE WALKA in Santiago, Chile, where she was recognized with the Best Project Award. In 2015 she was invited to participate in CH.ACO - Chilean Contemporary Art Exhibition - and the same year that she represented Chile at the Jewelry Art Biennale in Beijing, China. In 2018 she created her personal project and brand called “M.”, about contemporary jewellery; presented her first solo exhibition at Corporación Cultural Las Condes, in Santiago, Chile and was invited to participate in a collective exhibition organized by Walka Studio in Chile. Since 2018 she is a Silversmith Teacher and Creativity Process Coach. In 2020 was invited to participate in Milano Jewelry Week, Italy, and in 2022 to Montecarlo Fashion Week, France. In 2021 she created Grieta Estudio, a collaborative art + design project, with her partner Sofía Bravo.

About my work:

An ensemble of jewellery objects and sculptures inspired by nature's smallest details. The result of a process where she combines classic goldsmith techniques with other organic elements such as pieces of collected wood, petals, stones, seeds and plaster.
